Parley is a series of prompts which are an invitation to both individual reflection and collective sharing. They are specifically designed to bring out the full range of our feelings - both negative and hopeful - the richness of our thoughts and quality of our resolve.

Parley is a non-profit social enterprise. It is currently funded by the Founders, and designed simply to deliver positive change. We may rely on impact or charitable funding for growth but right now we are two old friends, with many fascinating life scars, working virtually to build Parley on a shoestring in a crisis!

So far costs have been kept very low and all contributions have been voluntary, but if you would like to contribute to the development and distribution costs of the work we are doing please do so below.

By sharing and recording these emotions during challenging times we ensure their poignancy and meaning are not lost to each other nor to the passage of time. They can also help us individually, and as families, communities and teams shine a light on things unspoken or unexplored.

Imagine if there was an archived snapshot of real emotions and hopes from isolated communities in the second world war? Or if survivors of the tsunami had been able to express their fears easily when they had no access to PTSD therapy or counselling?

The questions, which are been adapted from those we normally conduct as part of the counselling or coaching process, are there simply to empower conversation, deepening our learning of and from our unique experience of lockdown or other events and situations. There is no requirement to document the results.

We are living through a pivotal moment in history. Our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will study the 2020 Pandemic - so we invite you to capture your conversation as a snapshot of the global consciousness. Answers will be anonymised in the collective analysis which we will send back to you.

If you find the process helpful, or you know someone who would benefit, please share. If you are happy for your insights to contribute to our research, please let us know and subscribe to our newsletter. Over time we will reflect back to you the patterns of our collective experience.
