Changelog

What is new in Parley, the desktop app, Kirari and Parley R&D, newest first.

The changes we release, newest first. Each date lists what was added, changed, removed or fixed, and what was done for your security, so you can see at a glance what is new since you last looked.

It covers Parley on the web, the desktop app, Kirari and Parley R&D. An app you install shows its version number next to its name.

27 October 2026

Added

  • YouTube Studio. When a full video needs more stills than you have, the agent makes the missing ones, puts each where it belongs and starts the video again.
  • Parley R&D. Composite parts: a study follows a laminate from the first layer that cracks to the load at which the whole part fails.
  • Docs. A new guide, Install Kirari, for Windows and Linux.
  • Docs. This changelog.

Changed

  • YouTube Studio. The full video keeps the quality you picked in the chat, and reuses your preview clips where they fit instead of making them again.
  • YouTube Studio. If a full video still cannot start, Parley tells you why in plain words. Nothing is charged.
  • Docs. Install the desktop app shows every step as you will see it, and how to update.

Fixed

  • YouTube Studio. Each preview clip is made from the still it belongs to.
  • Chat. A message that runs into a brief connection problem is sent again for you, instead of ending in an error.

26 October 2026

Added

  • Parley R&D. Sound: how sound behaves in a room or an enclosure.
  • Parley R&D. Microwave cavities: the frequencies at which they resonate.
  • Parley R&D. Mechanisms and rotors: the forces in a linkage, and the speeds at which a rotor starts to shake.
  • Parley R&D. Batteries: how long a cell or a pack lasts as it discharges.
  • Parley R&D. Light: how much light a thin coating reflects, and how small spheres scatter it.
  • Parley R&D. Uncertainty: how likely a result is to pass a limit when its inputs vary.
  • Parley R&D. Optimization: the stiffest layout of material for a part, within the amount of material you allow.
  • Parley R&D. Wing sections: how much lift an airfoil makes.
  • Desktop app 1.2.39. The Updates page in Settings shows what is new in the version that is waiting.

Changed

  • Desktop app 1.2.37. A new version is announced in a small card in the corner, in place of a window.
  • Desktop app 1.2.39. The update card takes you to the Updates page in Settings, the one place to update. Later keeps the new version waiting there.

Fixed

  • Desktop app 1.2.36. Local models on your computer: no false "not answering" warning while they are still starting, and no extra terminal windows.
  • Desktop app 1.2.38. After an update, the taskbar keeps one Parley button, and it works.

25 October 2026

Added

  • Video. Two newer video models in the menu, with sizes up to 4K, clips up to 30 seconds and a higher-quality setting. The earlier model stays beside them, so the choice is yours.
  • Parley R&D. Parley's own CAD: design a part and study it in the same place.
  • Parley R&D. Crashes, drops and blasts, followed moment by moment, and high-speed impacts.
  • Parley R&D. Turbulent flow in channels, and the cooling of electronics.
  • Parley R&D. Motors and transformers: the magnetic field in their iron and windings.
  • Parley R&D. A Guide to what R&D can study and how to start.

Changed

  • Desktop app 1.2.35. The first screen is the new sign-in page, and the app has everything added to the website since 1.2.34.
  • Music. A song's price follows its length, and the menu shows the exact price before you start.
  • Studio. A shot that Parley rejects and makes again is not charged for the rejected take.
  • Studio. Better at keeping your lead character's look the same from shot to shot.

Fixed

  • Music. Songs are no longer turned away because of a daily limit.
  • Studio. The song you make for a film is the one that plays under it, and the music lasts as long as the film.
  • Website. The front page links to the docs again.

23 October 2026

Added

  • Account. Sign in with Google on parley.live.
  • Parley R&D. Six new kinds of study: metal fatigue, thermal stress, composite laminates, fracture, impacts and electric fields.
  • Parley R&D. Fatigue under loads that change over time or come from several directions, cracks modelled in the part itself, impacts followed moment by moment, and magnetic fields.

Changed

  • Website. A new front page at parley.live: you sign in right there, beside a picture that changes every hour.
  • Parley R&D. A drafted plan that cannot be checked in full is no longer refused. What can be checked goes ahead, and the rest is listed with what to change.

22 October 2026

Added

  • Parley R&D. Sign in with Google.
  • Parley R&D. Search patents as well as papers.
  • Desktop app 1.2.34. Everything added to the website since 1.2.33, including equations and paper search in the chat, and Parley R&D in the side panel.

Changed

  • Video. When a video cannot be made, Parley says so in plain words and tells you that nothing was charged.

Fixed

  • Video. A finished video that fails to download is fetched again.
  • Video. Credits paid in advance for a video come back even when the job is cut off partway on our side.
  • UGC Ad Studio. An ad is charged as a whole or not at all, never in part.

21 October 2026

Added

  • Parley R&D. Develop and prove: describe what you want to develop, and R&D drafts a plan for you to approve, runs the studies and checks every result against the plan.

20 October 2026

Added

  • Parley R&D. A research workspace at research.parley.live, with your Parley account. Ask a research question and get an answer from published papers with every citation checked, run analyses, look at molecules, crystals and parts in 3D, check a claim or a derivation, and write up what you found.
  • Chat. Equations and chemical formulas are typeset in replies.
  • Chat. /research also searches published papers.
  • Chat. Parley R&D is one click away in the side panel.

16 October 2026

Changed

  • Building. The status line above the prompt box says Building only while something is being made or changed.

15 October 2026

Added

  • Chat. Several chats can work at the same time, and a chat you leave while it works keeps its reply.

Changed

  • Building. An agent's run reads as a clear log in its reply: what it says at each step, and one plain line for each thing it does. The log stays with the reply.
  • Desktop app 1.2.33. The same clear log of a run, in the desktop app.

Fixed

  • Building. A run's words hold still while it works, and a project's files stay listed after a page refresh.
  • Chat. No empty frame at the end of an answer.
  • Desktop app 1.2.32. The day's fixes from the website, in the desktop app.

14 October 2026

Added

  • Building. The agent can search your project's files, rename them and delete them. A deleted file is kept as a copy.
  • Building. Undo what one message did to your files.
  • Building. Type /plan and the agent proposes a plan before it builds.
  • Building. Write standing instructions for a project in a file named PARLEY.md. The agent reads it on every run, and it is never published.
  • Building. A new switch in Settings, Ask before it changes files, puts each change on a card for you to allow first.
  • Building. Corrections you send while the agent works are read during the run.

Changed

  • Credits. When a monthly plan is not renewed, your account keeps its credits and pays as you go. With no credits left, it is a free account.
  • Chat. Parley knows what it can make for you and offers it when it helps.
  • Building. A build ends only once its latest changes have been checked.
  • Docs. The docs describe Parley as it is today, and the agent can read them to answer your questions about Parley.

Fixed

  • Chat. A finished answer no longer carries a note that the work is unfinished.

13 October 2026

Added

  • Desktop app 1.2.29. The agent can run your project's code on your own computer. It asks you before each command.

Changed

  • Credits. Credits for work in progress are set aside when it starts, so a job cannot run past your balance.

Removed

  • Kirari 1.12.1. Clipboard and Timer beside the question box. Screen and the model are the ones left there.

Fixed

  • Desktop app 1.2.31. Update now no longer leaves a terminal window open.

Security

  • Desktop app 1.2.30. The app's window can reach only what the app uses, and the app itself asks before any command runs.

12 October 2026

Added

  • Kirari 1.12.0. Ask Kirari for a routine, such as a morning briefing, and it sets it up on a card.
  • Desktop app 1.2.25. Create an account from the desktop app: the Sign up tab opens your browser and says what it is waiting for.
  • Desktop app 1.2.26. The first screen tells you when a newer version is out.
  • Building. The agent remembers its own work from one message to the next in the same chat.

Changed

  • Parley. A new logo. While Parley works on a reply, the logo moves into the chat with a soft hum.
  • Chat. A plain chat, in Fast mode too, picks up the tools a job needs when it needs them.
  • Desktop app 1.2.27. The same tools in a plain chat and in Fast mode, in the desktop app.
  • Desktop app 1.2.28. The agent's memory from one message to the next, and the new logo.

Fixed

  • Chat. Thinking mode answers again on the newest top models.
  • Chat. A model that cannot see pictures can still work on a job that has pictures in it.
  • Images. A question about a photo gets an answer, without starting a new picture you would pay for.
  • Library. On a phone, a picture's or a video's details scroll.
  • Building. A question you ask inside a project gets an answer.
  • Building. Long runs stay on track: the agent keeps what it read earlier in the run, and work it has finished is no longer doubted.

11 October 2026

Added

  • Building. The agent looks at the site it builds, on a computer screen and on a phone, and fixes what it sees.
  • Chat. Two newer top models in the model menu.
  • Kirari 1.11.0. Kirari fills in a whole form on one card. It asks for anything missing in one message, and leaves forms with a robot check to you.

Changed

  • Kirari. kirari.parley.live has a new look.

Fixed

  • Account. Creating an account from the desktop app works for someone new.
  • Chat. A song or a picture no longer starts just because of a word in your message.
  • Chat. On Auto, the agent can work with files as large as on a model you pick.
  • Building. A long build no longer stalls on a step where the agent only thought, and a file it could not finish writing is never saved half done.
  • Building. A build no longer ends at the first picture or song it makes, and a paused run says Paused.
  • Building. Capturing a website for reference keeps what it found when time runs out.

7 October 2026

Added

  • Kirari 1.9.0. Kirari finishes whole jobs, makes pictures and videos with Parley, and hands bigger requests to Parley with Open in Parley.
  • Kirari 1.8.1. Emails Kirari writes end with your name.

Changed

  • Kirari 1.9.1. Kirari folds away by itself when you are done, is a little smaller, and no longer pauses long after a full stop when it speaks.
  • Chat. Open in Parley from Kirari puts your request in the prompt box, ready for you to send.

Security

  • Kirari 1.9.0. A full security review, with every finding fixed.
  • Account. Signing an app in to your account asks you to confirm first. Opening a link alone signs nobody in.

6 October 2026

Added

  • Kirari 1.7.0. Kirari writes emails and sends one only when you click Send, stops and waits for you whenever something needs your approval, browses the web in a window of its own, and has a smaller menu.
  • Kirari 1.8.0. Routines can run while your computer is off. It starts switched off, and you switch it on yourself.
  • Desktop app 1.2.24. Voice typing works on the computer, and an online code editor can open your project.

Changed

  • Desktop app 1.2.24. Closing the window quits the app.

Fixed

  • Kirari 1.6.1. Kirari opens without a restart.
  • Desktop app 1.2.22. Preview opens your project again, and saved pictures and videos open.

5 October 2026

Added

  • Kirari 1.1. Kirari can speak its answers.
  • Kirari 1.2.0. Kirari can read folders you choose. It only reads them.
  • Kirari 1.3.0. Kirari can act on your computer: write a file, run a command, open something or look at the screen. Each action waits on a card of its own for your Allow. It can read your calendar too.
  • Kirari 1.4.0. Routines: a question Kirari asks by itself at the time you set. A routine can only look, never change anything.
  • Kirari 1.6.0. When the free model cannot answer, Kirari offers to ask on Auto.
  • Desktop app 1.2.21. Lenses for smart glasses can follow the wearer, and Parley shows each step as it builds them.

Security

  • Account. Sign-up no longer accepts throwaway email addresses.

4 October 2026

Added

  • Kirari 1.0. Kirari, a companion at the top of your screen that answers through Parley. Get it at kirari.parley.live.
  • Updates. An Updates page in Settings. A new version shows a notice and a red dot, and arrives when you press Update now.
  • Updates. When an update cannot wait, a window tells you so.
  • Building. Videos made from an animated web page move more smoothly, with motion blur.

Changed

  • Updates. Check for updates says which version you have.

Removed

  • Updates. The banner that reloaded Parley to update it. Reloading the page keeps the version you have.

Fixed

  • Chat. /research answers from what it found, and lists its sources under the answer.
  • Building. Your first message gets a chat of its own to work in, and small layout fixes in the workspace and the Create hub.

1 October 2026

Added

  • Chat. Shinobi, a free cloud chat model, in every account's model menu: 15 messages every 24 hours, never charged.
  • Images. Ask for a new style for a picture you made, and the whole picture is made again in that style. A change to one part still changes only that part.

Changed

  • Chat. A cleaner chat design: each reply shows which model answered and what it cost, pictures sit on a plate with their actions, and Answer again tries once more.
  • Chat. The prompt box is a single row, and its tools are / commands.
  • Chat. An attached file is one icon. Click it for its details.
  • Chat. A long paste is attached as a file instead of being cut.
  • Chat. The model you pick stays picked for your account, through sign-in and across tabs.
  • Email. Emails from Parley have a new, cleaner look.

Fixed

  • Chat. Attached files are read in full, on the free model too.
  • Chat. Files, pictures and long messages are whole after a page reload, and long replies arrive whole.
  • Chat. The model you pick is the one that answers.
  • Chat. Reset to default resets every model pick.
  • Chat. On a phone, the prompt box stays above the keyboard.
  • Voice. Voice typing on Android writes each sentence once.
  • Video. A video that finishes late still reaches the chat that asked for it.

Security

  • Account. Stronger limits on repeated sign-in attempts.
  • Website. Abusive traffic is blocked automatically.
