Fast fixes for the problems that come up most.
The local demo says “out of disk space”
Chrome allocates browser storage from free disk. Free at least ~5 GB on the drive holding your browser profile, then reload. Parley also clears stale model caches automatically on recovery.
“Generation Failed: Failed to fetch”
Usually a transient network blip or a rate-limit during the first model download. Retry once. If it persists, reset the local model cache in Account settings and start over.
My chat history is missing on another device
Sign in with the same activation code — sessions sync server-side once you’re authenticated. If a chat doesn’t appear within a minute, refresh the tab.
A menu closes without selecting
Hard-refresh the tab (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R) to clear any cached older build.
My image-attachment chat routed to the cloud
That’s expected. Local browser models are text-only, so attaching an image switches that turn to a cloud vision model — otherwise you’d get no answer at all.
