A tour of the interface

The sidebar

The left sidebar is your home base. From the top: start a New chat, Search across your history, then Create (every station and project type in one place, see The Create hub) and Library (everything you have made, see Your Library). Below those sit Pinned chats, Projects and your recent Chats. Settings is at the bottom, with your credit balance next to it.

The prompt box

• Type anything — a question, a description, an instruction.
• Attach images to reference, edit, or ask about them.
• Type @ to bring in a saved character by name (see Saved characters).
• Pick a model from the model picker when you want more (or less) horsepower.
• Switch tabs — Chat, Image, Video — to tell Parley what kind of output you want.

On an empty chat, a Recent row under the prompt shows the last few things you made. Open one to see how it was made and what you can do with it next.

The workspace beside the chat

Inside a project, the right side of the screen shows the work itself: files and a live preview for an app or game, the shot timeline for a film, the production board for a YouTube video. Use the expand button in its corner to give the workspace most of the screen; the chat becomes a narrow rail and keeps working. Press it again to go back.

Projects

A Project groups related chats and builds so a long piece of work — a game, a video series, an app — stays together with its own context. Create one from the sidebar and drop related chats into it.

Settings, theme & memory

Open Account settings to switch between light and dark themes, manage devices and credits, and review the personalization Parley remembers about your style. You can edit or wipe those memories any time.
