How credits work
What spends credits, how much, and what happens when you run out.
Cloud generations spend credits. Simple text chat is inexpensive; images, video, music, and premium models cost more because they cost more to run. You only pay for what you generate, and anything expensive shows its cost before it runs.
Roughly what things cost
| Action | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| A cloud chat turn | A small, fixed amount — cheap. |
| An image | A few credits, more for higher quality or a premium model. |
| A video clip | More than an image — scales with length, resolution, and model. |
| An agent build using many tools | The sum of each step it runs (with a per-prompt spend ceiling so it can’t run away). |
If you run out mid-generation
The generation in progress finishes. The next request then tells you exactly how many credits it needs. Top up under Account → Credits and continue.
Where you see the price
- Before: in every Create station the exact cost sits on the button ("Make it · 13 credits"). If your balance cannot cover it, the button waits and a Top up sits next to it. Nothing runs at a price you have not seen.
- After: a small receipt appears for a few seconds with what was charged and what is left. Your balance also shows next to Settings in the sidebar.
- Later: every item in your Library shows what it cost, next to the prompt and the engine that made it.
